Today I have been learning the most effective way to use CMYK colour in RGB mode. The basis is simple, by using the gamut tool, you can easily see where the colour will change when being printed. This allows you to edit the picture in order to make a more effective print.
RGB selection, colour.
CMYK selection, print colour.
Hue & Saturation changer.
Gamut tool, shows the contrast of where the image will change if printed.
Adjustment menu.

To effectively use spot colours on an image, you can use channels to edit the amount of colour that will be printed. Alongside this you can use the selection tool and the tool bar to use any edits that you require.
As you can see they aren't the most appealing edits to a photo, but you can get the general idea of how to effectively use colour with the image itself, as apposed to having an overlay.
