After Effects: Session Three

KEYFRAME INTERPOLATION -
[ Interpolation Definition - To insert between fixed points. ]

TIPS:

- Trackmat
- Masks
- Illustrator Shapes / Pen tool

To use an interpolation you need to select the animation window and click the correct window. By doing this you can change the effect of a keyframe between a set of points.

There are various effects that can differ the motion of each keyframe -

After the it has been used:

TOGGLE HOLD KEYFRAME -

By clicking toggle hold keyframe, you can change the rate of passage between each keyframe. The position is held until it reaches another keyframe.

Using a new composition I was able to create a blink animation, through a series of keyframes and alternative effects that effect the speed and passage between frames.

Rove Across Time will allow you the position the keyframe with the sequence so it allows you to have a constant speed between each one of the keyframes.

PART TWO -

Creating a new ellipse shape in Illustrator. This shape is going to be used for a path on After Effects.

By copying & pasting the shape onto the composition. You are now able to use it as a path for a selected shape to pass around.

Auto Orient around a path. This can be useful when wanting a solid shape to rotate as it moves across a path.

Imported a piece of type onto a new layer created by masks. This will allow you to edit a character specifically with each other letter.
