Concept: Vans

From the research I have been collecting on Vans as a company, manufacturing and purpose of meaning towards the audience it promotes. Skateboarding. From my findings there is a clear indication that they had a strong starting point from day one, the aim was simple. To create durable, light and cheap shoes that could easily be replaced due to the harshness of skating.

My concept goes as followed:-

- Re-design and promote Vans skateboarding to a direct audience, focussing solely on the product itself as aposed to profit. '' Back to it's roots ''

* Create branding and promotional design, with the main focus on selling vans, for it's prupose.

- Product & Packaging:
Shoeboxes
Zine (History of the company, behind Vans)
Why it's there

- Clean cut, sleek design:
Illustration
Bold type
Simple, minimal layout

In order to perfect my concept I am going to start generating a base of ideas that will aid me in creating a working direction, that I can take it too.
